Please read about your two program options: 

1: “Course 1- Acting Skills & Games:” This option is our popular lunch time course involving our standard Sparx lessons! Any child in Grade 1-Grade 6 is welcome to register. This is the perfect option if your child wants to play a ton of fun acting activities or is new to acting! Each week includes a ton of fun improvisation games and it will focus on a new social-emotional benefit. (i.e. how to deal with bullies, building courage, stranger danger tips, emotional regulation, making friends and much more!).

2: “Course 2- Play Performance”: This option is perfect if your child has already done Sparx or another acting course! However, any child in Grades 2-6 can register! On the first day of this course, students will contribute their own characters and ideas in order to create a group original script! The kids will receive their own script copy to keep and each week they will rehearse using professional theater techniques! On March 3rd, parents and other students are welcome to come and watch the play performance to see our superstars shine!

Every Monday for 7 Weeks on Mondays: Jan 13, 20, 27, Feb, 3, 10, 24, March 3 during the Lunch hour. (*none on Feb 17 due to Family Day)

*We encourage all personality types to join us, as Sparx is perfect for not only the outgoing spotlight lover, but also kids who may be shy and nervous to open up. At Sparx, our acting classes are designed to make each child feel special and embrace their individual strengths!*

What Will My Child Learn?

Your child will experience 7 classes of acting games, beneficial life skills, creativity and most importantly…fun! Each course day offers new Empowering Acting games, lessons and activities based around social-emotional growth, objectives from the Ontario Curriculum and professional acting techniques! No acting experience is necessary.

Children will learn valuable acting techniques that will help increase their confidence, imagination and public speaking skills!

Students Will Also:

– Use experiential and play-based learning to effectively problem solve.

– Build independence.

– Be mentored and encouraged to make strong choices that will help grow their unique selves!

– Meet new friends and have an absolute blast!

– (Most importantly…) Ignite their inner Sparx!

IF we do not sell out a course, we will happily accommodate daily class drop ins! For that, please contact us prior to payment and we will let you know if we have space for your child. The cost per child/class will be $20+tax ($22.60) via E-Transfer to info@sparxstudioacting.com. The payment must be received before the start of the class in order to attend.
